How do you correctly dispose of alkaline double A battery?

I have several alkaline batteries need to be correctly disposed of, but I don't know how to correctly dispose of them.

Alkaline battery can be safely disposed of next to normal household spend. Our alkaline batteries are composed primarily of adjectives metals — steel, zinc and manganese — and do not pose a health or environmental risk during majority use or disposal.
It is important not to dispose of roomy amounts of alkaline batteries within a group. Used batteries are recurrently not completely "dead." Grouping used battery together can bring these "live" batteries into contact near one another, creating safety risks.
Unless you community have stricter disposal regulations, just throw them surrounded by the trash as the wear out.
Your supposed to bury them.
