Snooze buttons on Alarms?

How come different alarms have different time length for their snooze facility?

My alarm clock goes silent for 6 minutes every time I press the snooze button. (Makes sense - 6 x 10 = 60 mins)

My mobile phone give me 10 mins when i press the button (Again perfect sense - 10 x 6 = 60 mins)

Why isn't their a standard snooze time and also what do you have an idea that it should be.

I think the shorter the better. 5 mins or smaller number


Answers:    My mobile phoen alarm is 9 mins - doesnt make sense!
I close to 10 mins, its just right.
