Is it possible to seize out of my 18 month contract.........?
Answers: I have the same problem, at the setting up of this year. I will say very soon, that is be for a different service (just phone-line). I wanted to switch, as they have put a block on my line, stopping me from upgrading from dial-up to broadband, unless it be with them.
When i contacted them, they said that i have a contract with them. I hadn't signed anything and it be for their Pay-as-you-go phone service. I asked them for a copy of the contract (knowing it didn't exist), they changed their story, saying it be a verbal contract. I asked for a soundtrack of the 'verbal agreement', and suprise suprise, it didn't exist.
Eventually, they give up and unlocked the phone line.
However, they sent me a message trying to get my custom rear, but the terms and conditions have changed (from may 2007), all unmarked and old customers would be tied into an 18-month contract automatically.
This be for, as i said a different service (pay-as-you-go land-line). But just check they haven't applied that to adjectives their services.
I'm not sure what the difference is between your BT package, and the ones they flog on the TV, but i am sure it says minimum 18 month contract, contained by the small print. (could mean choral with BT and their scamming ways).
I forgot to right to be heard above, when they admitted no signed contract existed, they tried to cause it sound close to it was my knock for not realising they meant speaking contract. They wanted me to salary lb200 pounds.
I kindly told them to f**k stale
Hope this all make sense.
If you have not SIGNED anything, likelihood are you will be able to attain out of it. Verbal agreements are really hard to prove if it be to go to court.
