I moved a cctv dome camera from one room to another and now I cant find it to work. All I did is unhooked the wires and reconnected them. Now it won't show up on the monitor but the other seven do. What did I do wrong? It is a three wire hook-up (Red, Black, and Video). There is no power to the red and black ones, as checked near a multimeter. It is all run through a Speco DVR. Is there something I obligation to do in the dvr to go and get the camera to work?
Answers: It sounds more like you permit the red and black wire touch respectively other or otherwise short out. Look for a fuse that protects those particular wires. A fuse may be mounted close the wires where they connect to the equipment but it may also be internal.
