My Sony tv is not working. Its 8 years out-of-date. There was a green smudge that went across the blind and then the picture stopped working. Then it come back on. Now it doesnt work, singular the sound comes on. What can it be and how to fix it? Thanks!!
Answers: Probably something surrounded by the high voltage circuit died. It will probably cost you several hundred dollars to enjoy it repaired -- but you need to switch to HDTV by Feb., 2009, because that's when they turn bad the old TV system (NTSC). So, it's not really worth repairing at adjectives, since you won't be able to use it surrounded by slightly over a year...
Consider it a holiday gift from your TV -- you gain to buy a new HDTV one for your present to yourself!
