Do I necessitate an HD DVD Player to play HD DVDs, or a moment ago an HD TV?

I have an HD TV and a Sony Surround Sound DVD system; does anyone know if I could play HD DVDs and carry an HD picture, or would I have to own a new HD DVD Player? Thanks!

Answers:    No you can't. You inevitability to get a HD-DVD player. But If I be you. I'd go buy one of the up to date $399 PS3's. Their is a Blu-Ray disc Player in them so even if you never play a video hobby it would still be cheaper then buying an HD-DVD player.

A Blu-Ray disc is matching as an HD-DVD for movie viewing purposes. They both play HD Movies. Plus from What I hear Blu-Ray is winning the HD period of war.
You need an HD DVD player to play them and a HDTV to see them on, and if you want to play Blu Ray you need a Blu Ray player as ably.
