Can i use nickel metal hydride rechargeable battery instead of nicad battery within an electronic device?

the device is pretty old and previously used nicad battery.


Answers:    a nicad charger will not be optimum for your metal hydride batteries, especially if it is the trickle type. If the battery are the AA or AAA type, get a spanking new charger at radio shack.
