Sterio Reciever?

i am getting a passive subwoofer. I call for a sterio receiver beside a subwoofer out put i know that but all the subwoofers that hold looked at have a preamp output for powered subwoofers. will the submissive sub work with this concerned of output?


Answers:    No,it will not!!
For a passive sub-woofer you involve a power amp to drive it,a low pass filter to separate the low frequencies and a stereo to mono switch!!
