Lithium Battery Charging time?

My lithium battery for my video/music player wont charge. I gone it plugged in the computer for 7 hours, and it say it hasnt charged at all. The computer be on, not on standby or hybranation, but on. Does it matter whether i give up your job the player on on off? because it give the impression of being to be charging a little when the player is on, it run for 3 minutes. and then died.

Also, can i charge the player next to a cell-phone charger, or will it not work just matching?

Answers:    I'm afraid Marc is correct. You will need to replace the battery-operated; or failing that, the whole player.

But here's a tip. The worst entity you can do to a Li-Ion battery is discharge it truly & then recharge it a greater currents at the beginning. A intelligent charging circuit won't do that, but your player's charger may not be that smart.

So the tip for your fresh battery is this: Don't ever discharge it more than almost 80%. Always leave a bit juice surrounded by the battery and it might final a whole lot longer.

Also, don't ever use any charger save for the one that comes with the player.
As you said, your computer wants to be on so that it can supply the charging voltage to your music player's battery. If you're hooked up to the USB port, there's no choice, you music player WILL turn on contained by limited mode so that the battery-operated can recharge.

If it's been charging for 7 hours and runs for lone 3 minutes, then I'm afraid your freestyle is done with. Which is a problem I hold with adjectives the music players now using those lithium battery. They drain quickly, even when not one used, and they don't seem to hold very plentiful charges before dying out. And when they do run down, you can't temporarily stick surrounded by an alkaline battery while the lithium one is recharge.

As for using a cell phone charger to recharge the music player battery, in that are different ratings and you may well desecrate your music player by using the wrong one. I don't recommend it. Buy the proper charger from the manufacturer if that's what you want. But your USB should do lately as good a charge.
