Moving and getting internet switched?

we have mediacom internet. we're moving today. Will it work if we purely take the box and plug it into the cable outlet at the hot place or do we have to phone mediacom and have them come set something up out in attendance and if so do they generally charge for that? gratefulness

Answers:    You need to ring them.

Tell them the date you want to be disconnected from your current address.

Then, tell them the current address you are moving to and want your service moved to.

There will not be Internet service at the new address until you recount the ISP to connect it for you at the new address.

Your box will still work ok, but Internet service nouns needs to be activate at the new address.
