I own a adapter that read 3v dc output 500ma.What I want to plug it into read 3v 200ma.Will I do any trash
Answers: botoboto is right with one exception.
The device is not drawing 300ma,(it draws less) what it is maxim is to use a supply that is proficient of supplying 300ma.
Otherwise the draw of the device and the supply of the power adapter would be the same, essentially you would max out the supply. The draw of the device should be smaller quantity then the rate current supply. In this case you are using a 500mA supply for a device that requests you to use a minimum of a 300mA, therefore you are not dangerous.
Proabbly blow your transformer and whatever else its plugged into.
