Regional Settings??

Someone sent me some Dvd's from the UK, Im in Aussie, but I cant play the Dvd's basis it says almost Regional Settings..

Can I change it to play the movies, or do I enjoy to get a different Dvd player?

Its simply a basic LG dvd player...

Answers:    Depending On The Age Of Your DVD Player These Days It Doesn't Make A Difference What Region Code Is On The DVD. I Send Discs To My Wife And Kids In Australia And Receive Aussie Discs Here In UK All Of Which Work In Either Country. Our Players Are Basic And Around 3 to 5 Years Old. If Yours Is Older And Won't Play The Discs You May Need A New One If You Want To View Them Although There May Be A Region Switch In The Back Of Your Player Which Will Let You View Region 2 DVDs?
I Hope This Is Of Some Help To You Darl. Good Luck And Have A Bonza Christmas!
Have a look contained by your instruction manual, you'll find that your player will play region 4( for Australia) & I don`t know multi region DVD's only (that's what mine plays - phillips), pretty sure you can't amend this. The back of your DVD's (on the case) that you received should own a region code on them, not sure what it is for UK but for example US ,Can is region 1 in which defence you wont be able to play it on your player.
