Why do unsullied, smaller number expensive VCR/DVD combo's not come next to a TV tuner built into them to journal TV programs?
Answers: You'll find that the same folks who make these combos also trade name free-view boxes and other cable/satelite boxes. So really its the companies trying to capture the low-end souk for these combos as well as the low-end of the free-view/cable/satelite box market. Pretty harsh on the consumer but companies r close to that. They'll never make it cheaper to buy a combo a bit than two of their products that would combine to do the same entry.
Because Cheaper is only cheaper... not better.
I bought a fresh one around the beginning of the year and it have it. It was $79.
Because eveeryone have a cable box now anyway.
Tuners are expensive, at lowest possible enough to donate definite cost. For those who only want to diary video, no reason to pay packet extra. For others who want to record TV, too, next they can pay for the extra proficiency.
For the same point that car companies contribute so many level of car level, depending on what features you want, which affects cost.
