What does it be set to that this DVD is solely for region 2?

How do I find out that my DVD player will play that? I am from Europe and I want to pre order some DVD, but first I want to find out if I'll be capable of watch it. So can you please recount me how can i find it out? Thanks...

Answers:    DVDs are classified by region. Europe is region 2 while the US is region 1. There are other regions for the rest of the world, up to 6.

To play a DVD, you need a region-compatible DVD player. A player for region 2 works one and only with a region-2 DVD, and vice versa.

The exception is that within are region-0 DVDs and region-0 DVD players. Those can go beside any region, but they are rare and must be special-ordered. Some DVD players on laptop computers are region 0, or contribute you the option to select the region (and renovate it up to a number of times, usually 5), so you may want to try that.
Read the owners instruction book. Some play only region 1 or 2 some play both.
