I'm looking for info on what you use for amplification and power- I have an effects component I want to use, but it does not runon batteries, simply AC. So my question is: If I want to play on the street, how can I run my effects element? Is there some nature of rechargeable power source I can plug stuff into? I know about mobile powered amps, of course, but i want to use this effects section while I busk- there is not a battery-powered alternative to this section.
Answers: You can get a mobile belt with gel cell battery built into it and hook it up to an inverter, which turns DC from the batteries into AC. It's cumbersome and bulky, but it works. Make sure the batteries and inverter can provide satisfactory power (watts) for your AC equipment.
