Is it sheltered to use power cable when they're would up within a coil?
I'm organizing my cords at the moment, but I'm curious, is it risk-free to use power cords (say a phone charger) when it is still wound up in a coil? It would put aside a lot of cord clutter, but are here any drawbacks, as in it would start a fire?
Thanks
Answers: There is no problem coiling the short cords that come near most devices. There isn't enough current to create profusely of heat. But don't go off long extension cords coiled up when you use them. The induction of the coil can limit the power to anything is plugged into the cord. This can cause the device to overheat and burn out but it usually won't reduce to rubble the cord.
there is no hazard coiling cords.dont fold the cord or you could break the wire
