We had our brand unsullied remote control with brand different AAA battery on our table, when a full chalice of water get spill, hardly any hose down touch the remote and we wipe it right away. One week later, i realize that at hand is a tiny bit of orange solution at both end of the battery-operated, it is rust color but it more liquid than incrusted rust, i get rid of the batterie and wipe the metal, but it seem approaching some of it stay orange (it didnt not look approaching rust it looked more like a tick juice, but it was a thoroughly bright orangy rust color). Is that some sort of chemical from the battery, or it simply a mix of wet and rust that dit not dry out?
Answers: It's likely both. Remove the battery. Clean the contact pins with a pencil eraser until they shine. Replace the battery.
rust, battery ooze is a clear liquid and dries to a white powder
