A VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION FOR DELL users?

I have a dell laptop that plays region 2 dvds but no longer allows me to play region 1 dvds.

i used to be able to switch the setting to allow my notebook to play region 1 dvds, but now i can no longer do this.

is here any sort of software that i can buy that will allow my pc to play american dvds? please can someone give support to me because i really dont want to go out and buy an expensive multi region dvd player

Answers:    It's not Dell's shortcoming. It's Microsoft's, kind of. There is a constrict in Windows for how several times you can change the region on your PC - simply 5 times. After that, you are stuck with the finishing region you set, no matter which DVD playing program you use. The with the sole purpose way around this would be to reinstall Windows after every 5 change, or find a program like DVD Shrink that violate copyright law by removing the region coding from a DVD while positive it to your hard drive.
how copious times u gonna ask this
