USB device not customary?

My sister got a webcam which plugs into the USB port. Today I tried to plug surrounded by my iPod and it said "USB device not recognized". I unplugged the webcam and tried again. It said the same item. I unplugged and replugged my iPod. It said my iPod was corrupted and needed to be restored. So I clicked restore and it said that an error occur and it could not be restored. What do you recommend I do?

Answers:    Try disconnecting and the rebooting your computer. Then plug the USB device in and see if it works immediately.

If not, disconnect the USB device, reinstall the software on your computer (for example, if you are having problems beside iPod, trying reinstalling the iTunes software) then plug within the ipod. It should work then.

Good luck!
You're probably plugging the Web cam to the wrong input. Go to the join below for more details.
