My dvd player(sony)is playing merely cds not dvds.how can i made it to play dvds?

Answers:    Try taking the CDs out and putting a DVD within. Really, if its three years old, it could be on its end leg. My first DVD player was one of those uber expensive ones (450 dollars contained by 01) and it only last about 2 and a partially to 3 years.
sounds like it's time to break down and spend a pious 29.95 for a good DVD player
