Answers:    You need to check and see what the DVD player is designed to play. Somewhere surrounded by the manual and perchance even on the front of the player you should see something like "DVD-RW or DVD+RW or DVD-R or DVD+R" These are the different recordable DVD medium formats out there. If you burn a DVD using a format i.e. compatible with your DVD player afterwards it should play without any problems.

There are some DVD players that will not play any recordable DVD's. This may also be the armour with yours. You will own to look at the manual and see what it can do.
