Do I Need An Amplifier For My Decks?

I have a couple of numark tt1550 belt drive decks & a gemini ps-540i mixer, simply as a start off. Can I plug the mixer through the hifi as an output or do i call for an amplifier?

Answers:    you can stick your output from your mixer into the 'input' (or 'aux') on your hifi or into the 'line in' of your computer - this will see you to record your adventures.

don't blow your money on an amplifier until you know you close to what you are doing and are confident it is worth the investment.

i run my system through a set of Brooke 2800w (RMS) speakers which is powered by a massive CMark amplifier. YOU WOULD NEVER NEED SUCH A THING UNLESS YOU HAVE LOTS OF MONEY, SPACE, GIGS OR ARE VERY STUPID!

have fun - practise and wallow in.
for practice, hifi is ok

for gigs, amp!
