I purchased a few electronic items contained by Australia (240v), and the specifications state 120-240v or 100-240v.?

Can I use them in Canada in need a transformer, by using a plug adapter.

I went to the states final year and used my laptop and handycam power packs next to only a plug adapter.

They both worked fine surrounded by the U.S. and continued to work fine once I got home. Most electronic devices currently use a floating voltage transformer i.e. state on them they will work between a certain voltage.
