i have to power amps 1 is 2,500 watts and the othere is 900 watts i enjoy a crate 16 channel mixer i want to run adjectives 6 speakers using 2 power amps so i dont over load 1 power amp how do i hook it up so it works.

Answers:    Got yourself kindly of a mess there, don't you? Are you one of those independent companies out of Michigan? Sounds similar to one of their setups.

You didn't say what your speakers are rate at. But with a 900w amp & a 2500w amp, that's vitally 2 speakers out of your 900w amp. (450w each speaker). And afterwards you have 6 speakers out of your 2500 amp, which is a moment ago over 400w per speaker.

Now, with two speakers out of your 900w amp, you can parallel them for 4 Ohm impedance or series them for 16 Ohm, your choice. The problem comes surrounded by with 6 speakers. You can take home a series of 2 each contained by three sets of parallel, which gives you rather over 5 Ohm, or make three contained by series so that you have two sets within parallel, which gives you 12 Ohm impedance.

Of course, you parallel your mixer output to both amps if they're not equipped next to bridging inputs. It would be a lot easier to standardize your equipment, wouldn't it?
