Is Korg M3 a Synthesizer or a regular upright?
Is this machine a Synthesizer ? What's the principal difference between a Synthesizer and a Keyboard. I am trying to learn the bare bones here. Keeping that in mind , I am thinking a grand piano is same as a synthesizer , but a synthesizer is much more advanced ?
Can anyone clear this confusion for me?

A keyboard is approaching a piano. It's just a board you press the key on.
A synthesizer synthesises (in other word, it "fakes") sounds. It can synthesize sounds of other instruments, for example, that have nil to do with a piano. A synthesizer have a keyboard, a short time ago like a computer have a keyboard. It's of late the interface by which the composer tells the internal system what to do.
It's a synth
