DirecTV complications!?
Answers: if you press the menu button on the front panel of your addressee do you see the Quick Menu? If not then it's a problem next to the tv-receiver connection, or within the CSRs jargon a "snowy/black/blue/gray peak." It sounds to me like they be troubleshooting a "banner no programming" which is entirely different.
Check the cable behind the TV and beneficiary (including the power cord for the receiver) to make sure they are A) plugged within correctly B) tight and secure and C) not tattered. While you're back in that, make facts of the types of cables you are using and what type of input (if any) is tabled as this information may be needed in the subsequent step. If there be damaged or loose cable, correct them and see if that resolves the issue.
Did your DirecTV line route through a VCR or AV selector or any other componant? If so, gross sure they are on the right channel inspection (VCRs often hold an input channel or requirement to be on 3 or 4) and put a tape or dvd into any player to double check picture from that and do the subsequent step TWICE - once to find the VCR picture then again to find the DirecTV picture. If you don't own another componant just do the subsequent step once for the DirecTV picture.
Change your TV channel between 3, 4 and any input channel you may have. They can be found by pushing a input/av/tv-video/source button ON YOUR TELEVISION OR TELEVISION REMOTE ITSELF. Don't use the DirecTV remote as the input button doesn't other work. If there isn't any such button, you can try pushing the guide down button and see if it'll change to something different after 2.
Cycling through adjectives of the input channels should find a picture for you. If not, try replacing the wiring between the receiver and the TV next check all input channel. If that doesn't help you may entail either a beneficiary replacement or a visit from a live technician.
Hope that help =)
I've had this problem formerly and the DirecTV guy came and hooked up a up to date receiver. Everything is working properly very soon and we haven't had any problems since. Hope you grasp it figured out!
