I am a disgruntled mother of a 3 yr old who be very excited around the switch to Noggin 24/7. Not that he watches a lot of TV, but it's nice to know it's here when I need it. Like a deposit blanket. Anyhow since I am a Dish Network customer and we are still getting The N at 3pm, I called today to find out what the heck is going on. Like masses of you I got the response of "Dish Network customers won't be inconvenienced by the alter in programming." I WANT THE CHANGE IN PROGRAMMING! Then, they transfered me to someone else who said Dish be having "exact difficulties" with the switch and that "one of these days" it will be working fine and hopefully the switch will take place "soon". Whatever! I want my Noggin! Thinking of switching to DirectTV...feel free to transmit why I should. If you have an update on the Noggin craziness, permit me know!
Answers: i have the answer and i'm pissed. i call dish (call center is in the Philippines, btw) and demanded to verbalize to a manager.
she explained that noggin raise their rates by 300% and they "don't want to pass the rate increase to their customers". this is a bunch of bull. they can afford it. my bill is $120/month. we are seriously considering direct tv in a minute!
i really want this 24/7 noggin channel for my kids, contained by addition, hold noticed that dish team do have an attitude.
Personally I needed Noggin to be 24/7 because i did'nt want my child to be learning to count surrounded by Spanish in the daytime, and see lesbians making out in the evening. I can't believe they have the nerve to show such a point knowing that 99% of noggin viewers are under the age of 5. Well I gain cable through our local provider. Comcast. They have one and the same shows as satellite would have. Minus the eastcoast westcoast stuff and adjectives those sports channels. They hold DVR, and On Demand. There's no need for us to even draw from satellite.
