Are here any wires I can use to connect my laptop to my TV and keep under surveillance avi files on the TV near it?

Because I remember being competent to this with my feeble PC but it was near DVDs rather than avi files... or do I own to burn what i have to disc and buy a divx player??

Does your laptop have s-video? You can go and get s-video to SCART converters.
