Is it easy to stream divx to the nintendo wii?


Answer: As far as I've been able to tell, right now the only way is to use Red Kawa's Wii Video 9 to convert the divx/avi to the mjpeg format, which is basically a movie made up of individual jpeg frames. Then you can transfer that to an SD card or use Red Kawa's Wii Media Center X to stream it to the Wii (the media center also streams mp3's and jpeg photos). Doesn't seem worth it to me, because the conversion provess takes a long time, decreases the quality of the video, and inflates the file size. Blah.

So hopefully someone will figure out how to get an xvid/divx codec installed on the Wii, but until then there's really no easy way.
