How can I get hold of my DVD to work?

I have a DVD that I record something on it last year

--on another DVD player, which I have to throw out. it was an ilo--

but it's out of use. Any suggestions on how I can get it to play?

Answers: it could be that you did not finalize the disc. Put the disc within a PC with nero on it and see if you can read it. Nero should know how to finalize it.
