Tom Tom 1 LE or nav730 gps sports car navigations?
Answers: I guess this answer's a little behind schedule for your use since you were probably considering the different Black Friday deal last week.
First of adjectives the Tom Tom One LE is only sold at Best Buy. The LE interpretation is based on the second edition Tom Tom ONE. Tom Tom ONE basically released a new 3rd edition and Tom Tom fan say that the 2nd one is better since the latest 3rd edition has some software limitations over the previous version. However, the 3rd edition does have a couple of added benefits including on-board memory I believe. This is supposedly integrated into the Tom Tom ONE LE but beside all the software capability of the original 2nd edition. You can dig out the web for more difference between the different Tom Tom ONE edition.
I personally do not close to Tom Tom. Their interface isn't as intuitive as some people read out. To each their own right? I feel you will grow an affinity towards your first GPS Navigation product. My first was a V7 Navigation 1000, two generation earlier than the NAV730.
The NAV730 is base on a very popular iGO navigation engine. This have been voted to be the most easiest to use software contained by Europe, where both iGO and Tom Tom are base. However, the V7 versions of iGO enjoy an iPHONE or Aeroglass look and feel to it.
The plusses to Tom Tom ONE is that it have access to the paid subscription of Tom Tom PLUS I believe. But at $12.95 a month (or so, don't remember exactly how much), I one-sidedly wouldn't pay that. Also the Tom Tom ONE includes the map of Canada.
The NAV730 doesn't include Canadian maps, but I don't individually travel there normally myself. A really cool feature is that the NAV730 still offer a full multimedia player, which includes mp3's, avi video, and a picture slide show. Many GPS manufacturers are taking out the multimedia players on their entry plane products.
A really cool thing that the NAV730 have is a "Travel Planner". This allows you to enter multiple destinations, and then also allows you to "optimize" to getting to adjectives these points the most efficiently. Great if you own a lot of errands to run surrounded by a day, or if you're valid estate agent or in sale calling on several customers.
At the end of the morning, it's really your preference. You can't walk wrong with any. But my personal experience, using many of these things have been to favor the V7 NAV730.
