I just bought a unmarked palm centro for my wife and she really likes music ringtones. Is within anyway to convert a music file and upload it using the sync cable to this centro and use it as a ringtone, that track I don't have to pay envelope for ringtones?

If I'm not mistaken, you may own to unzip it. install that on the phone, through the sync. After you get the music downloaded on the phone, you will find the wallet in the audio partition of that program... highlight the song, and migrate it...
at that point you can crop it to play what you want as the ring tone... it puts it right within place for you, at least it did for my treo.
