How to......on blackberry pearl?

ok. I got a blackberry pearl for christmas and I added a bunch of individuals to my phone book and now it wont tolerate me set a certain ringtone for a positive person if you know how to do this please comfort me THANKS!!

Address Book
Select a Contact (do not press any key yet)
Now Select the BlackBerry Icon on the Key Pad
Scroll down to Add Custom Ring Tone.
