Answers: Yes cuse7112... is right. CDMA phones (Alltel, Sprint, Verizon etc) are all tricky programmed to direct to their carriers. So right immediately you couldn't get the phone activate on their service.
However! Both Verizon and Sprint have announced they will be allowing other carrier's phones to be allowed on their net starting 08. The phones have to be tested and there's greatly of phones out there, but I'm gonna voice probably mid to late subsequent year you'll be able to do it.
But not a soul likes waiting that long especially since by after the phone probably wouldn't be as cool as the new ones coming out.
If you're trying to unlock it for AT&T or T-Mobile, you can't do it at adjectives. They use GSM and require SIM cards for their phones. Just wouldn't work. Sorry dude :(
You can't- and if you could, Verizon or Sprint wouldn't activate it. Its one the downsides of using CDMA carrier. I have Verizon- I know the matter.
