What is the difference between a palm-pilot, a PDA, and a blackberry?

I'm looking for a really efficiant electronic organizer. It should also be a phone, a camera, and a planner.

Answers:    PDA is a personal desktop assistant. They are also the same. Palm Pilot is a brand of PDA from Palm. Blackberry is also a brand of PDA from the company, Research In Motion Limited (RIM). They also carry out the same functions, a short time ago different brands. Compare the differences at the websites I've listed below to find out for yourself which one interests you the most.
2 different platforms

All BB (if not next most) not only submit a cellphone and push email capability, but do them severely well. Other stuff added includes working near Office files, internet and 3rd party software. BB's also come near thumb keypads that's famous for giving power users blisters and inflamations on adjectives 10 fingers. While you COULD type all daytime long and do so quickly, best to clutch breaks to avoid injuries

.

PDAs are Personal Digital Organizers.

Palm Pilot is a type of PDA and in foundation lately includes an organizer that does PIMs (Personal Information Manager) like address book, calendar/appointment book, memos, etc., which alot of digital organizer have. No cellphone within it's basic form. They do enjoy touchscreens for input

But in this light of day in age, Palm PDAs enjoy came a long agency. They also do multimedia, Office files, databases, games, utilities (like a TI 83 graphing calculator or financial calc), references (dictionaries, maps). U can win email on a cell-less pam, but u'd need a BT (bluetooh) cellphone to win the internet, then ues BT to verbs the data from cell to a BT pOS

There's also a chain of cellphones that run Palm OS. These phones offer convenient 'all contained by one device', and also integrate stuff like email and dial from your contacts catalogue. Better email here since u can use the cell WL line to draw from email, tho BB does it nicer. There are some drawbacks like smaller screen.

.

Back to a "PDA", PDA is almost any electronic organizer that does PIMs. Note that Microsoft also has PDAs that run on the Windows Mobile OS, habitually referred to as Pocket PCs or PPCs. These come in converged cellphone and cell-less variety as well.

.

Finally, Smartphones are the unmentioned option. They typically do not have touchscreens, but do hold PIMs/planner, and digicam. If u were to check out this leeway, make sure u can bowdlerize your planner on the road if that's what u requirement to do
