What are the differences between blackberry and palm pilot? Recommendations?

ok i own a plam piolit and it sucks we got them 4 arts school and i cant get on the internet even when im right subsequent to the connecter thingy also my power dies even when i just charged it. i HATE it. iv never have a black berry but im sure its got to be bettrt than i palmpiolet.
