How do you receive a Zire31 Palmone PDA to see a memory card?

I just lately got a 2 Gig SD card for my birthday. This alien card was for my PDA which is Palm's Zire 31 model. I inserted this trial card into my PDA and for some reason it doesn't endorse my new card. Is near any way that I could bring my PDA to recognize my foreign card?

Go to Chapter 6. Your Zire should recognize the SD and work according to this chapter.

If this is the first SD card you enjoy put in the expansion slot, after perhaps the contacts on the Palm and / or SD card are dirty, so verbs the contacts on the SD card off near a Q Tip and some alcohol (dampen the tip, NOT dripping wet). Then insert and remove the card several times.

Hopefully this will clean the contacts inside the Zire and it should recognize the SD expansion card and work according to the Chapter referenced above.
