My husband desires a GPS card for his iPAQ, I can't find it! Also looking for some sort of camera card? Help!
Answers: by the time you buy both of those, you could probably spring for a unharmed new iPAQ next to both of those things built-in.
Check out the iPAQ 6900 series, with GPS and a camera built surrounded by. They've been out for a moment or two while now, so they'll own come down in price too.
If you really want an addon GPS, you can do it two ways. Either a bluetooth GPS if the iPAQ supports bluetooth, or as you said, an addon card.
You didn't mention what character of card slot his iPAQ has - if its an elder one, you'll need a Compact Flash GPS model resembling this one: http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/holuxcfhw.... If you use those keywords, you'll find many more.
If its a newer iPAQ, later you'll need an SDIO GPS (you know SD memory cards? resourcefully this is the I/O (input-output) version of those). Here's one to look at: http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/globalsat-...
The bluetooth version are less convenient but can be found a bit cheaper.
To assist you find a camera, just work out what type of slot the ipaq have (Compact Flash, or SDIO) and then query for "SDIO Camera" in google. You should turn up a few adjectives links to help you find something contained by your price range.
There's a simple path to work out what kind of slot your hubby's iPAQ have. If he often have it inserted into a black plastic sleeve, then it's Compact Flash - however, if he a short time ago uses it on its own, and the memory cards go into the ipaq short requiring additional trimmings like plastic sleeves, next its probably SDIO.
I hope that helps, dutiful luck!
I founnd mine at Best Buy. They have them nearby.
