Blackberry Pearl or Apple iPhone?

I currently own a BB Pearl and i am thinking of purchasing an iPhone is it worth it or should i wait a little until the price drops?

Answers:
Think of it.it's Apple. You already know they're going to release a cheaper version of the iPhone (it'll look more like an iPod Nano) within the next few months. After that, they'll release a version 2.0 of the iPhone that will fix all the bugs people on here are talking about THEN, as to be expected, they'll release iPhones in pretty colors just like their iPod counter parts.

Basically, there's no need to rush and buy one now, unless you're seriously jonesing for one. Your Pearl should hold you off for now but, in the next 6-12 months, there's going to be a lot of motion with the iPhone so you're going to be aware of all that fun stuff. I've had the chance to tinker with the iPhone since a couple of my coworkers have them and it is a nice phone. Really cutting edge and all that fun stuff. However, it ain't worth $600. Actually, no phone is worth $600 and considering it's on AT&T/Cingular ir whatever they hell they call themselves, I'd wait first to see if another carrier will pick up the phone like Verizon or T-Mobile before getting the phone. So long as AT&T has the iPhone, I'll never get it. If SPrint ever gets it, I still won't get it.
i would wait until the price drops, unless your life depends on having the extra features
Wait it out. This is their first phone, there will be problems. Wait for the next version where everything is more updated.
Price is not going anywhere any time soon.
As far a swapping in your phone I am not sure about that,
Let me give you some Neg., about the Iphone,
It does not support ring tones(the preinstall ones are limited and annoying)
It tends to get hot (it kinda like a comp. without a fan.)
Battery life is not that great.
Service is not as good as My Razr was.
But all in all there is no phone out there that can touch the IPhone, Without all the neg. It is really cool I love the fact that I was waiting on line to see rush hour 3 and found out that all of the time that I was willing to wait for the movie was sold out so i literally got off the long line and went to a theatre that was not sold out leaving the Wrapper was great I did not even have to see the billboard to know what was sol out or where else it was playing.

So yes the phone is still worth it even though it has its flaws. If you Can wait it out until they fix it problems maybe you should but if you like me then Up grade.
how much has the iPod dropped since it's release almost 7 years ago? I'll give you hint... very little or more precisely... none.

I wouldn't expect the iPhone price to drop. If money is an issue don't get it... go for another phone... i saved my pennies and raided the couch and picked one up... it does everything apple said it would... some seem to have battery issues... but I use my phone all day ( bluetooth enabled but WiFi turned off unless I need it ) and have only got it to drop to about 1/2 charge...

I'm betting everyone with battery issues still has their WiFi turned on... that will tend to really drain the battery as it "pings" for servers...

good luck
