Answers: no you do not. You can just find the phone without a information plan. However, they usually charge you cheaper for the phone if you get a notes plan. So what you do, is you get the notes plan, pay the first month for it, next call to undo the data plan.

No you don't... If you only want the phone, you can have that and that alone, however, don't crumple and hit the data button, incentive if you don't have the plan, it get pricey quick!... It's already over the top expensive for the blackberry... but that's worse.
