Can you put any program on a PDA?

I know you can put like word documents and things approaching that, but say I hold an electronic copy of the physician's desk reference. Could I put that on a PDA?

Answers:    As long as the software you are loading is compatible near the operating system... in other words you can't put MS Office on a PDA but they do be paid a mobile Office that you would be able to nouns... most programs are avail in oodles platforms... you just entail to make sure you are loading the software that go with your specific mobile platform.
You can only intall programs that be made specifically for the operating system you are using. (Symbian, WM5, WM6, etc.) also, most PDA's only own a few megabytes of storage space, so you dont want to install too much stuff.
