What is the best smartphone next to free wifi (WLAN) capability?

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for a good smartphone, specifically one beside free reign to tap into any wireless hotspot and not own to pay for notes. I'm currently in Canada, so any counsel from fellow Canadians would be great.

I've been audible range good things just about the blackberry 8820, but it's not available yet within Canada and I'm leary about buying online from shady sources. I approaching having warranty and physical places to return if there's a defect, so I'm not devoted on ordering an unlocked 8820 online.

Other impressive features are an intuitive organizer/tasklist that I can sync up easily beside my laptop, and internal GPS.

I've scoured the net but I'm not experienced ample with smartphones so I inevitability all of your oblige!

I am not sure what you mean by Free. If you stingy Free, as in you do not hold to pay to see WiFi - all phones that are Wifi gifted do it for free in that sense.

If you imply Free, as in you do not hold to pay to the hotspot you are trying to connect to - that isn't really below control of a phone, but your local hot spot.
My guess is the apple iphone for about 500
