Sony DVD recorder format to play on run of the mill DVD player.?

I have a DVD recorder beside a hard drive but when i put things on to a disc they don't play on a computer or other DVD players.

What format do i transcript on to enable typical DVD playback?

Answers:    You have to finalize them. However, even after man finalized there is no actual guarantee that they will work with adjectives other players. For example, recorded and finalized within the Sony plays fine in an LG but not a Panasonic. Same disc record and finalized in the Panasonic plays fine within the Sony but not the LG. That's just an example, logically, but that's currently just how it is.

As far as your ask regarding modes - SP is the failure to pay mode.
you can use DVD-R or DVD+R as long as you finalize them they will play in other players.
