Freeview remote does not seem to be to work?

I have a hitachi TV which does not own a remote. Used a techwood freeview box and configured the entire setup. Once i switched on the freeview and TV, the TV after selecting AV displays a freeview menu showing 'select' to start installing.

The freeview remote freezes from here and pressing on any key has no response on the TV. Only power on and standby seem to work, none of the other buttons seems to work. The freeview box cannot be operate without the remote.

What could be the problem ? Can anyone pls facilitate.


Answers:    Batteries in the Freeview remote? Setup will help yourself to a while (can be 10mins) so it might 'look' frozen. If none of the above unplug the Freeview box from power (NOT just switch off) and resign from for a minute. Then plug it back it pay for in and try again.
