What kind of discs do I use and what benevolent are rewritable(can record over and over)?
Answers: DVD-R and DVD+R are competent to be recorded once. DVD-RW and DVD+RW can be erased and reused.
For creating DVDs that are readable by other DVD players, you should use DVD-R or DVD+R discs. Either should work only fine.
The RW discs are usually used in computers, and are not as compatible beside normal standalone DVD players.
