How do I receive my hdd/dvd recorder to pick up digital channel through my tv which have built-in freeview?

Hi. I have a LG tv next to built in freeview. It have AV1 and AV2 scart sockets and 'DTV OUT' scart socket, and an aerial socket. I hold just bought a hdd/dvd recorder which have an 'EXT1 TO TV' scart socket, a 'EXT2 TO VCR/SAT' scart socket and an 'Antenna In' socket. However, the hdd/dvd recorder will only pick up analogue (1-5) channel and the setup instructions seem to relate merely to a separate digital box. Can anyone tell me how I should connect the tv near the recorder so that it receives freeview digital channel?

Answers:    Unfortunately, I do not know what freeview is. However, I will do my best to assist.
Since the 'freeview' function is built into the television, across the world it is primarily for use with the signal coming directly into the TV. When a signal travels through another device and that device is on - it becomes the primary tuner. Since you said that the recorder have Antenna in, you may be capable of connect the DTV OUT to ANT IN on the recorder to pick up those channels for video recording. Then use EXT to TV to AV1 for playback.
Hope this helps... or at smallest makes some sense.
set your dvd recorder to narrative the av channel which your tv is connected to, you can one and only record the ditch you are watching though.
