My DVR does not certify my esata external drive?

I have Time warner cable DVR, just hooked up a Calvary 500GB external eSATA drive, but how do I know its is hooked up because my DVR is acting similar to it is not recognising the new drive.

Help please.


Answers:    It might not be compatible near your DVR. I use this one I got from Best Buy.
