My Tivo is going support to the start of the buffer on it's own!?
I've witnessed it doing it... it's not making Tivo sounds (the bloops) when it go back. It's approaching when you hit the hard promptly forward button to go to the wrapping up (or beginning if you rewind) but it's definately not making the sounds that attend Tivo functions.
I've made sure all the other remotes surrounded by the house are not being triggered. I've rebooted. The ONLY article I haven't done is completely reset the machine to factory status (really don't want to!).
So far it hasn't done it when video recording something.
Anyone have an perception what's going on and how to fix it? The Tivo boards aren't responding to my post on there.

That is a exotic one on me.
I assume you have unplugged the part and restarted it. If not do so and see what happens. Often a complete reboot will fix TiVo's tribulations.
