I own TV cable next to a box and several tvs minus one. The tvs short go and get the "basic" cable channel.

Is nit possible to purchase an additional compatable box for a tv near none, record programs , disconnect from cable/wire and connect to a tv at a remote location for viewing of record programs? Is the box programed by installer at time of setup? Or is it simply connected?

Answers:    The box is just installed. It is locked to your reason. you can move it from set to set if you want. Generally, they do need to be connected to the cable, so probably it would enjoy to be connected to the cable at each location.
i'm not sure nearly that but i know it's only similar to five bucks a month more to add a second box and we spent roughly speaking a year with in recent times the one cable box and found that no one required to watch any of the other tv's, finally we arranged to pay the extra five and it's one of the best decision we could've made.
