What do I involve to hook up a dvd/vcr player to a tv minus a cable box? I do own cable but it's in recent times makeshift.
Answers: it all depends on what connectors are available on your TV.
If you enjoy an extra input (yellow plug) on your TV, connect your player there.
If your TV have a single RF connector, connect cable to the VCR and then dvd/vcr to TV via coax cable.
If your VCR have no RF output, then you call for to buy an RF modulator and an RF mux (2 inputs 1 output). Go to radioShack and they will tell you what to buy, but engineer sure you know what inputs are available on the TV and what outputs are available on the DVD/VCR player.
If all you will be wanting to do is hook up the
DVD/VCR player to the TV within order to study
movies I think you can bestow the cable antenna
as it is. Then you will need to run audio/video
cable (a three-way cable color coded red/white/yellow
from the a/v out jacks on the dvd/vcr player to the
audio/video in jacks on the TV.
On the spinal column of TV you may find jacks marked Video 1
and Video 2. If so you can plug the a/v cable into one
of those. Your remote next should have buttons for
TV, Video 1 and Video 2. Just select whichever you
plugged the a/v cable into contained by order to monitor the player.
If your TV doesn't have a specific video jacks later
you will have to hold your TV on channel 3 or 4 contained by
order to view the dvd/vcr.
Good luck
